Is Dallas Towers a brokerage? § 01
No. Dallas Towers is an independent research guide about buildings. We don't list properties, represent buyers or sellers, or take referral fees from anyone named on the site.
Where does the data come from? § 02
Three places, always labeled: county appraisal district certified rolls (unit counts, sizes, values, homestead rates), named published sources for building histories and policies, and — after launch — documents submitted by owners and managers.
Why does a building show fewer units than other sites claim? § 03
We count current residential tax accounts on the certified roll. Older buildings almost always show fewer accounts than originally marketed units because owners combine neighboring homes over the decades. Both numbers appear on the file when they differ.
What does the homestead percentage mean? § 04
The share of a building's unit accounts carrying an active homestead exemption — a useful public-record proxy for owner occupancy. Higher rates tend to indicate more resident owners; lower rates tend to indicate more investor-held units.
A fact on my building's file is wrong. How do I fix it? § 05
Use the tracking form on the building's page and say so, or the contact route on the About page. Corrections with documents are published fast and noted openly — this registry has already published seventeen of its own.
Are the floor plans official? § 06
No — and they say so on their face. They're original schematic interpretations drawn from verified specs (bed/bath counts, sizes, features). Official plans come from your HOA's recorded plat or the seller's documents; we're glad to publish official plans that owners or managers submit.
