The corridor § 01
No street in Texas holds more named condominium buildings than the two miles of Turtle Creek Boulevard between Blackburn and the Katy Trail's northern bend. The corridor built in three waves: the midcentury pioneers (3525 in 1957, Gold Crest and 21 Turtle Creek in the early '60s), the full-service '80s generation (the Warrington, Claridge, Beverly, La Tour), and the formal European turn at the millennium (the Mayfair, Vendome, Plazas, Renaissance). County records give the corridor's character a number: across its buildings, homestead rates average ~68% — these are residents' towers, not investment lockers.
The corridor's quiet phenomenon is combination: at nearly every pre-1990 address, current tax accounts run below original unit counts as owners bought their neighbors — the Claridge alone has absorbed roughly a tenth of its original homes. Bigger homes, fewer doors, steadier boards.
